It's been awhile since I last posted. Work and life just get in the way sometimes, and it sucks. But, even though those things get in the way, I still get ideas in my mind for blog topics. Today, I won't be discussing fashion, or anything that is of great importance to most people. I will be discussing something that happens all the time in society, and nobody really says or does anything about it. That thing is starting rumors. The reason I'm blogging about this today is because yesterday, one of my friends/colleagues was affected by this, and instead of letting it go on and on, she went to the person who started it and said something to her. She wasn't mean or rude about it, just very matter-of-fact about the situation and told her that they could handle it right then and there, or they could go to our boss and let her handle it. In the end, they handled it, and I'm glad my friend actually went to the offending person and said something to her. I admire her for that, because most people would've just let it ride and when that happens, the rumor/lie grows to such a huge proportion that damage control cannot be done. I don't start rumors. My policy is don't start any shit and there won't be any shit. Good policy, huh? There are ALWAYS going to be shit/rumor starters, followed closely by the shit stirrers,or pot stirrers,who hang on the rumor starters every word and they go behind them and not only spread the rumor to everyone, but they add more stuff to it. This is how things get blown way out of proportion. Luckily, I know who all the shit starters are where I work and unfortunately, there are a lot of them, because apparently, we're in Elementary school or Jr. High, and they can't grasp the concept of being and adult, and because they like the attention they get. Let me just say that's the wrong kind of attention. Negative attention is always a bad thing. So let's make a long story short. If you don't know the whole story, don't make stuff up, and if someone tells you something, don't put your own spin on it and turn it into something completely different. Till next time...
