It's called fashion

Ok, so I went on a shopping trip Friday, and I found and bought lots of things (go me!). However, when I was looking at clothes, shoes and bags, I was also doing a bit of people watching, which we all do. In watching these people, who were also shopping, I noticed that most of them looked like they rolled out of bed, fell into their closets and left their homes without even stopping to look in the mirror to see what they looked like.
Why someone would do this is beyond me. Call me pretentious, call me a snob, call me whatever you'd like, but deep down, you know I'm right.
The biggest fashion crime I'm constantly seeing is baggy sleep pants with Uggs (or Ughs, as I call them), topped off with a huge sweatshirt, sweater or t-shirt. No sweetie. This is wrong on so many levels.
IF you're going to wear Uggs, please pair them with a well-fitting pair of skinny jeans, topped with a cute sweater or cardigan. Please make sure it somewhat matches the color of the Uggs.
The next fashion crime I see TOO much of is t-shirts that are too tight on top of skinny jeans that are too tight on girls that do not dress size appropriately. Call me snarky, but it's not a good look. Since when is it ok to show a muffin top? NEVER. That is your answer.
The moral of this story is to wear clothes that fit. Wearing the proper size flatters the body. Clothes that are too big make the wearer look larger than they are. Clothes that are too small also make the wearer look larger than they are. It's a no win situation.
And wear clothes, not sleep pants. I mean if you're rolling out to the drugstore at 2am, then sleep pants are perfectly fine, but during the light of day, keep your sleep pants/Uggs combo at home. Just because you've seen a celebrity wear this in a magazine does not make it ok.
This has been my rant of the day.

As I mentioned in the first post, there will be rants about every day life, and things like that. I will also post nice things from time to time.
